SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 3
(By Senators Oliverio, Boley, McKenzie, Bowman, Ross, Sharpe and
Wooton)
Recognizing the accomplishments of Warren Carter, Executive
Secretary of the West Virginia Secondary School Activities
Commission.
Whereas, Warren Carter has served as Executive Secretary of
the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission since
1992. During his tenure with the Commission, he has been a
stabilizing force in the issues and responsibilities of the
Commission; and
Whereas, School principals, assistant principals, athletic
directors, band directors, coaches, officials, parents and others
have praised Warren Carter for his fairness and understanding,
while at the same time respecting his leadership and professional
demeanor; and
Whereas, Warren Carter has decided to retire from his
position as Executive Secretary of the West Virginia Secondary
School Activities Commission. His departure leaves the
Commission on a steady course for the future with plans and
initiatives which have been conceived by him; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby commends the service of Warren
Carter, Executive Secretary of the West Virginia Secondary School
Activities Commission; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Senate wishes Warren Carter well in
his decision to retire from the West Virginia Secondary School
Activities Commission and gives its best wishes to him for any
further endeavors he may choose to undertake; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to Warren Carter, Executive Secretary of
the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission.
